When we arrived, the area was empty, except for one unlucky Undead Warrior. However, after killing him, instead of a corpse appearing in his place, a vision of the Warrior on Griffonback appeared! The apparition remained there, flapping its wings, untouchable by us, until the player rezzed nearby.
