Praag and Reikland DateTime:5/23/2012 10:37:34 AM
As we continued south toward the Empire capital of Altdorf, we came next to Praag. This was actually an unusual way to get there since Praag will actually mark most players' first experience with Tier 4 RvR. In the middle of the city is Martyr's Square centered on a beautiful Astrological clock (apparently based on the one in the real Prague). The northern half is what happens when Chaos re-decorates: World War II Stalingrad. There are burning buildings, rubble, ashes, smoke and lots of places to hide and snipe other players. The city of Praag marks the midpoint of the push between the two sides and as the major battleground in the struggle, it's really starting to show its wear and tear. The southern portion of the city is pretty standard Kislevite architecture -- thick oak beams, white plaster, uneven cobblestones and lots and lots of bear accents. Moving farther south, we came to Reikland. Reikland is dominated by the Empire and as such is still fairly normal. In the case of this particular castle, Grauenberg marks a PvE area for Chaos players where the quests will help corrupt the lord of the manner. In fact, it must already be working since when we entered a huge Sigmarite cathedral on the castle ground, we found the place utterly corrupted and swarming with Chaos wizards opening portals into the Aethyr.
