The Fall of Altdorf DateTime:5/23/2012 10:37:34 AM
After all the preliminaries, we at last reached the main event of the day -- in an actual city siege. The first thing we realized as we sat down to play was that whatever players think city sieges are, they're thinking too small. These are massive events. This in itself is a huge battle, easily larger than any of the PvP fights we'd participated in at previous Warhammer Online events. They proceed in ordered stages with raiding players attempting to achieve goals while being opposed by both NPCs and enemy players. In our case, we began our city siege at the point where the outer defenses had been breached and the Chaos forces were attempting to open the main gate by taking and holding various parts of the bailey. Once Chaos had breached the city gates, things got a bit confusing. The city siege version of Altdorf seemed to be an exact duplicate of the "peaceful" version, which meant that it was huge with goals that were equally huge. Fortunately, there was some guidance. Another quest had us breaking into people's homes, killing them and setting all their stuff on fire. Soloers and small-group players will gravitate to this stuff as lower-tier quests, non-quest objectives and the city's dungeons are available all over the city. Our favorite was destroying the statues of the highest-ranked Empire players in the center of the city. These statues will appear in every capitol and change as players go up and down in the lists. All of these activities also contribute to lowering the enemy city's level when it eventually reverts to the original owners. Buy cheap wow gold here ,we have cheap wow gold for sale !
