WoW Cataclysm Beta Access DateTime:8/19/2010 4:16:50 PM
Millions of players are in great anticipation of the release of rage of the Lich King in WOW. The ever-popular "Well of Eternity" is now called "Maelstrom" which is a robust vortex. Northrend drifted up in the cold waters and rested in the North of all other lands...overtaken by the cold, the snow, the ice...it became the acceptable resting place for the ominous Lich King, thousands on thousands of gigantic dragons in the area of "The Dragonblight", only they're in the form of skeletons, and the Nerubians.
This is the gaff of the evil Lich King. The continent is located in the North. Every once in a while, you may run across a human, or perhaps even a troll...but this is a rare occurrence. Additionally to several different regions in Northrend, there are also a number of Dungeons that you can experience on this continent. This occurred after the War of the Ancients, about ten thousand years prior to where we are now. When the "Well of Eternity" was demolished, it essentially led on to the cataclysm. Right at roughly 80% of the general land was destroyed. Now, we are left with just the lands of Kezan, Eastern dominions, Northrend, and Kalimdor. As you can see here, Northrend is piled high with lots of interesting regions, dungeons, races, and more. In this guide, you'll be exposed to a few of the information that is available per the continent of Northrend in world of warcraft. Northrend is the cold, ominous home to the evil Lich King. The continent is claimed to be extremely icy, and there looks to be dark cloud hanging over the area. This is the area where the Icecrown Citadel is located. This is a world event which happened in Warcraft that reshaped the way that Azeroth looks.
